It shouldn’t take five systems and twenty clicks to finish a patient note. That’s a problem we’ve been trying to solve since day one at Freed.

With EHR push, we’re taking a big step forward. Now, you can send your completed note straight from Freed to any browser-based EHR with a single click.

We sat down with Erez Druk, Freed’s co-founder and CEO, to talk about what this means for clinicians today — and where our AI is headed next.

Q: What made you want to solve this problem?

Erez: We kept hearing the same thing: integrations always seem out of reach for smaller practices. They favor big systems with IT budgets and dedicated project teams. Small and midsized practices are left behind.

EHR push turns that around. You can open your chart, hit Push to EHR, and your note appears exactly where it belongs.

At its core, this is about giving clinicians something immediate: time back.

Q: You’ve called this an “anti-integration.” What do you mean by that?

Erez: We call it “anti-integration” because it skips the waiting and just works.

EHR integrations used to be the only way to connect systems. But they can be slow, expensive, and limited to whoever can afford the project.

Now, AI can do what integrations were supposed to do without the barriers.

Our agentic AI can understand, navigate, and interact with an EHR safely, just like a person would.

Instead of connecting systems under the hood, we let AI act directly in your EHR, in real time.

Q: What difference are clinicians seeing so far?

Erez: Honestly? Relief.

Clinicians tell us it feels like the day they first used Freed. It’s that same “I get my life back” moment.  They can finish a note, click once, and move on.

In our beta, adoption has been incredible. Once clinicians see it in action, it becomes part of their daily rhythm.

For a small practice, that can mean finishing work at 5 PM instead of logging back in at 10.

Q: What’s most exciting about where this leads?

Erez: EHR push is just the beginning.

We’re building toward a full clinician assistant — an AI that doesn’t just document, but helps across your entire workflow.

Right now, we already create visit summaries, instant notes, ICD-10 codes, and patient follow-ups. Next, we’ll extend that to chart hygiene, more team functionality, and other aspects of your workflow.

We want to remove the repetitive admin that never needed your clinical expertise in the first place.

If we keep saving hours while preserving safety, trust, and control, that’s the future clinicians deserve.

Q: Why focus on small and midsized practices first?

Erez: Large systems can invest in custom API integrations and spread the cost across thousands of clinicians. Small practices can’t, but they need the time savings even more.

That’s why we built this for you first. Setup takes minutes. There’s no maintenance contract, no vendor coordination.

The time saved shows up in shorter workdays, fewer late nights, and less burnout.

It levels the playing field, giving small practices enterprise-level efficiency without the enterprise overhead.

Q: How do you make sure EHR push is secure and compliant?

Erez: EHR push works like a trained clinical assistant. It knows where things belong, but it never acts without your review.

Every transfer runs through built-in safeguards: data is encrypted, every action is logged, and nothing is pushed without your sign-off.

It’s fully HIPAA-compliant and follows the same security standards we use for Freed notes.

Q: What’s your five-year vision?

Erez: Five years out, clinicians spend their time on care, while agents handle the background work — documentation, coding assistance, follow‑ups, and admin prep.

EHR push is one click closer to a world where technology finally gets out of your way.

“EHR push has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible, even with the latest technology.” — Erez Druk, Freed CEO
