Running a practice means juggling it all. You’re managing patient care, staff, billing, and charting — often without the tools (or time) larger systems have. That’s why so many small practices turn to Freed.

Freed is an AI scribe that captures your clinical conversations and turns them into structured notes.

It’s as easy to set up as it is to use:

  • Works with your existing tech
  • Requires no hardware
  • Can be live in minutes

Whether you’re running solo or scaling a team, Freed helps you lighten the load on your clinicians, without adding more to yours.

And the impact is immediate: Clinicians are saving 5+ hours per week on documentation, staying caught up on charts, and leaving the office on time.

Here’s how it works for group practices, and what to expect if you’re getting started.

How to use Freed

Once you’re in, all you need to do is:

Step 1: Get your personal workspace Each clinician gets their own secure Freed workspace. All registered clinicians can be up and running in minutes.
Step 2: Use any device you already have Freed works with any device that can record audio.
Step 3: Set up templates and preferences You can build templates with Freed by manually configuring subsections and customizing their style and format. Or choose a pre-formatted template from Freed’s template library. By the time you conduct your visit, your notes will be formatted to your liking.
Step 4: Press “Capture Visit” and conduct natural conversations During patient visits, you conduct conversations naturally while Freed captures the important details.
Step 5: Review your complete, automated note After the visit, you get a complete note that you can review and edit. Copy/paste or use our Chrome extension to push to your EHR.

Whether you're seeing 15 patients a day or 50, Freed works with your existing processes and tools.

Group plans designed for growing teams

Freed’s group plans are built for clinics of any size. Here’s what you get:

  • Flexible licensing: Only pay for the clinicians who use Freed. Plans start at 2 seats and scale as you grow.
  • Centralized billing: One admin manages users, payments, and permissions in a simple dashboard.
  • On-demand support resources and training: Your team get help when they need it without waiting for scheduled training sessions.
  • Pilot-friendly setup: Start with a few clinicians. Expand once you see results.
  • Template creation and sharing: Customize writing and structural preferences to standardize and share notes across your team.

Specialty-specific notes, built in

Freed automatically adapts to different visit types based on the specialty. Notes aren’t just fast, they’re clinically relevant and compliant.

On top of that, Freed provides templates for different specialties. So your clinicians can customize, share, and ultimately get the notes they need.

The result? Consistent documentation across your team, no matter the visit or workflow.

Secure and compliant, by default

Security is table stakes. Freed is HIPAA-ready and can sign a BAA as part of your group agreement.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and clinician workspaces are kept separate unless you choose to connect them.

No EHR integration is required — but if you want to integrate or take advantage of our Chrome extension, that’s an option. Freed adapts to your setup, not the other way around.

In short? You get enterprise-grade security without enterprise-level complexity.

Try it out, then decide

“On average, I save 1.5 to 2 hours a day by myself, and now there are 5 or 6 providers that are using Freed. Just the hours saved is incredible.” Blake T. Thompson, FNP

Many small practices start with a pilot. One or two clinicians try Freed for a few weeks. Then the rest of the team joins once they’ve seen the impact.

In other words: You don’t have to commit the whole practice to see what it can do.
